Description

Discover the breathtaking scenery of the Etna Wine Road! Jump into your compact Fiat 500 vintage car, and follow your local guide into the backcountry on the slopes of Europe's tallest active volcano, where wine has been cultivated since the Greeks first planted grapes in the 8th century BC.

Departing from Taormina, you'll take secondary roads to the Alcantara Valley. After a short visit to the stunning Alcantara Gorge, you'll continue through the villages of Castiglione di Sicilia and Linguaglossa. Throughout the tour, you'll have the opportunity to stop and take pictures of the panoramas that open at every turn of the road.

Your guide will then follow the Wine Road, going up from Linguaglossa to higher altitudes of the volcano, where most of the wineries are located. Upon arrival at one of the most beautiful wineries of the area, you'll be taken on a brief visit to the cellar to taste the local wines and cuisine specialties.

After the tasting, you'll return towards the Taormina/Giardini Naxos area, where your tour will end.
